I haven't driven over my laptop with a tractor or put it in the microwave, or anything.I've only had my macOS Catalina MacBook Air (2019) for 1 year, up until now.The "battery saver" preferences are set to the recommended settings.I've tried restarting my computer whenever this happens to no avail.Let alone any that SHOULD drain battery, like Steam games, Logic, etc. I never have more than three applications open at the same time.My brightness is always low and is not automatic.My Mac is up to date with the latest version.I'm good with my storage, not even half full.Other "significant battery users" include Safari, Spotify, Discord, iMovie, and other basic household applications. I NEVER keep excessive tabs open, which is why I use Chrome extensions like "Window Manager". I don't use any power-draining sites, I don't think. Note, it is updated to the most current version. I hover over the icon and it'll list what is using "significant energy". It seems like, as every single minute goes by, the battery percentage ticks down. Note: at one point, I was able to use my Mac for 5+ hours, unplugged - and constantly without it sleeping, or automatically going into power save mode, with the aesthetic screensaver animation stuff.Īnyway, I'm making this inquiry because - now - my Mac loses all of its battery in just 1.5 hours.
